In this issue - Australian Country issue 21.1 2018
For this issue of Australian Country we’ve travelled the length and breadth of this amazing country and met some fabulous folk. Our travels started in Victoria where we met Alicia and Ian Cooknell at their home high on a hill on Melbourne’s northern periphery. Over in the West we caught up with globe-trotting creatives Paul and Bonnie Atlan who have brought a fresh palette to their historic home in outer Perth, while in the NSW Riverina Kate Pitt and Rex Watson have spent more than a decade breathing new life into their historic Moira station homestead and outbuildings. In Queensland we visited Riza and Cam taylor who combined a country aesthetic and travel souvenirs in the revamp of their Queenslander and we also caught up with the very talented and hospitable Peart family on their Sunnyholt station in the Arcadia Valley. Our travel story takes us to Hollywood in the
outback and the tiny town of Winton, which hosts the annual Vision Splendid film festival, there’s garden and decorating inspiration aplenty and a bird’s eye view of some spectacular landscapes in an essay by photographer Nick Rains.
